Soils – Berks Soil and Stone

Screened Topsoil – Rich farm field topsoil mixed with 20% aged compost. Sifted through a 1/2” screen to remove rocks. Great for new and established lawns, raised beds and vegetable gardens.

Rototilled Topsoil – Rich Farm Field Topsoil mixed with 20% aged compost. Sifted through a 2” screen to remove rocks. Great for gardens, lawn seeding and flower beds.

Unscreened Topsoil – Natural rich farm field topsoil that has not been sifted. This is a more affordable solution for filling in deeper areas up to 12 inches. Recommend machine use for spreading.

Vegetable Garden Soil – A 50/50 mix of our screened topsoil and Aged Compost. A very nice mix for vegetable gardens and flower beds.

Aged Compost – A mix of leaf compost and mushroom soil sifted through a 1” screen. With proper compost turning, moisture, and aging this becomes a valuable organic material. Best used as a soil amendment for lawns, gardens, and container plants.

Fill Dirt – Also called clay, used for back fill and to level off a project and bring up the grade. Recommend machine use for spreading.
